Women's Summer Seminar Offers Chizuk For Difficult Times
By Yonina Hall

"HaKodosh Boruch Hu is Calling Us. How Do We Respond?" is the intriguing title of a 2-day summer seminar for women to be presented by Jewel-Aish HaTorah Women's Organization/EYAHT on July 10 and 11 in Jerusalem.

The English-language seminar, which annually attracts more than 200 women from all over Israel as well as overseas visitors, features an outstanding lineup of dynamic and engaging speakers, including: Rav Yitzchok Berkowitz, Rav Zev Leff, Rav Mordechai Neugershal, Rav Motty Berger, and Rav Avrohom Gross. Other inspiring educators include: Rebbetzin Denah Weinberg, Rebbetzin Nechama Karlinsky, and Rebbetzin Vital Kalmanowitz.

After producing more than a decade's worth of summer seminars that explored general women's issues such as emunah, bitachon, simcha, and chinuch, the seminar organizers chose this year's topic in response to the current matzav in Eretz Yisroel and in Klal Yisroel in general.

"People are asking what we're required to do when the situation is so volatile," explains one of the organizers. "We want to give women direction as to how to respond right now."

To that end, speakers will address topics such as: "Entreating Hashem," "Tapping Our Inner Strength," "Sharing Another's Pain," and, "How Do the Wise Respond?"

No prior registration is necessary. Registration opens at Zvhil Hall, 26 Shmuel Hanovi St., Jerusalem, on Tuesday, July 10 at 9:00 a.m.; four lectures will commence from 9:15 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, July 11, registration opens at 8:45 a.m., followed by five lectures from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Admission fee is 35 shekels per day, or 10 shekels per class. During the lunch break, a catered meal will be served by advance registration only. Cost per meal is 35 shekels. To register, call (02) 571-1931 or (02) 656-6418 no later than Thursday, July 5.

This year's seminar is dedicated to the memory of Yocheved bas Elchonon, a"h, sister of tblct"a Rebbetzin Weinberg. For more information about lecture topics and times, please call (02) 571-1812 or (02) 538-3243.
