If there were any empty seats on motzei Shabbos in the cavernous Garden State Convention Center, in Somerset, New Jersey, the site of Agudath Israel of America's 77th national convention, they were few and far between. The hall held more than 4000 seats -- and those standing in the adjacent exhibit area made the figure higher still.

Yeshiva Be'er HaTorah is Growing

The newly established but fast growing Yeshiva Be'er HaTorah in Gateshead has taken on two new maggidei shiur, both graduates of Gateshead Kollel. Rabbi Boruch Shimon Barnett will be taking an additional gemora shiur as will Rabbi Kasriel Wagschal who will also concentrate on halacha subjects.

Dayan Aharon Grunfeld Appointed Manchester Belz Community Head

The newly appointed dayan and menahel kashrus of the Machzikei Hadas (Belz) Community of Manchester, Dayan Aharon Grunfeld, received his heter horo'oh from HaRav S. Wosner of Bnei Brak, as well as from the Ujhel Dayan zt"l, former dayan of the Antwerp Belz community and rosh beis din, Yerushalayim, and from the moro de'asra, HaRav M. M. Schneebalg. He is the son of HaRav Yidel Grunfeld, the dayan of the Antwerp Belz Community.
