Efforts to Transfer Yeshiva Student Convicted in Japan to Israeli Prison

The Justice Ministry's International Affairs Department and other organizations are working hard to convince Japanese authorities to allow Yosef ben Ita Rivkoh, who was convicted of drug smuggling and failing to declare taxable items, to serve the sentence handed down to him last week by a Japanese court at a prison in Israel.


10% Increase in Births at Maayanei Hayeshua

Christian Missionaries Operate Door-to-Door in Haifa

Christian missionaries descended on Haifa's Neve Shaanan neighborhood last week, going door-to-door and asking to discuss matters of "emunoh." Only after they had entered into conversation did the Jewish ladies realize the canvassers were trying to introduce seemingly harmless ideas that were in fact far removed from Yiddishkeit.
