After the Organizing Committee determined the composition of the Knesset committees and how committee posts would be divided among the various parties, UTJ assigned its MKs to various posts.
According to the decision, which the party reached unanimously based largely on a meeting held earlier, MK Rabbi Moshe Gafni will serve as the party's representative on the Finance Committee, where he will serve as chairman. He will also serve as an alternate member on the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.
MK Rabbi Uri Maklev will head the Public Petitions Committee and will serve as a member of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, the Constitution, Law and Justice Committee, and the Internal Affairs and Environment Committee. Rabbi Maklev will also serve as Deputy Speaker of the Knesset.
MK Rabbi Menachem Eliezer Moses will be party chairman and a member of the Economic Affairs Committee, the House Committee and the Education Committee.
Deputy Ministers Rabbi Litzman and Rabbi Porush were not assigned to any committees because the law prohibits ministers and deputy ministers from serving on Knesset committees.
