Alert: Mexican Chewing Gum Problematic
by A. Cohen

The Chief Rabbinate of Israel has instructed all retail food stores to remove chewing gum and gum candies under the kashrus supervision of Rabbi Leiberson of Mexico from their shelves.

The banned products, sold in general as well as chareidi retail food outlets, include a colored chewing gum under the "Disc" brand name and gum candies manufactured by Farn- Lan.

Tests conducted by kashrus experts have indicated that there are serious kashrus problems in the plants in which these products are manufactured.

The Chief Rabbinate has ordered that all above mentioned products under the supervision of Rabbi Leiberson be removed from the shelves.
