Thousands made their way to the gravesite of Maran HaRav Elozor Menachem Man Shach zt"l in Bnei Brak to mark his fifth yahrtzeit on Tuesday 16 Cheshvan.

IDF concludes Operation in Beit Hanoun but Fighting in Gaza Continues

On Tuesday morning, IDF infantry, engineering and armored forces withdrew from the northern Gaza town of Beit Hanoun and took up positions within Gaza but outside the town. The IDF announced that it had completed its operations against the terror and rocket launching infrastructure in Beit Hanoun. In the course of Tuesday, at least nine Palestinians were reported killed in the fighting. Kassams continued to fall in southern Israel.

Chinuch Atzmai Kindergartens Denied Extended Day Program

"Not running the extended-day program at `recognized but unofficial' kindergartens imperils Torah-based education in Eretz Hakodesh," Chinuch Atzmai school principals warned UTJ representatives. "Recognized but unofficial" is the Israeli government designation of Chinuch Atzmai kindergartens and nurseries.

Professor Avi Degnai and Dr. Rena Degnai recently conducted an Institute for Geographical Research survey on Beitar. The survey revealed that nearly 79 percent were satisfied with their standard of living in Beitar. The survey also found that 70 percent were satisfied with the services of the city and its management.
