Germany Extends Payments to Ghetto Workers

After extended negotiations, the German government has agreed to a
demand by the Claims Committee to expand eligibility of ghetto
survivors to receive payments from the German national insurance
system. Holocaust survivors who worked in ghettos even not under
forced conditions will also be eligible for German national insurance
payments, as well as a one-time payment of 2,000 euros.

Netanyahu and Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz to increase government
assistance to small and medium-size businesses.

After having nine children who died at a young age, Reb Boruch Peretz
Meltzer zt"l and his wife Miriam Reisel a"h took it as a
good omen when on 5th Adar, 5630 (1870) their son Isser Zalman was
born. Perhaps this son, born in a month of joy, would merit a joyous,
long life.
