Chareidim Wary of Tent Protests

Chareidi political leaders expressed concern that the "tent protests" would turn into a new round of chareidi bashing. The Trachtenberg Committee that was set up to find answers to the issues raised by protesters does not include a chareidi representative.

75% of Beit Shemesh Students Chareidi

The chareidi education system in Beit Shemesh has grown by 10 percent with over 3,000 new students joining the city's chareidi schools for the upcoming 5772 school year. Deputy Mayor Rabbi Shmuel Greenberg, who heads the municipality's department for chareidi education, is now making final preparations to place the students at the various schools.
Bnei Brak: Education System Grows by 1,000 Students

The 5772 (2011-12) school year will open in Bnei Brak with an additional 1,000 students in the education system compared to 5771, bringing the total number of students in the city to 57,825.

At the completion of several weeks of feverish work the Rabbinical Committee for the Character of Vacation Sites made an impressive achievement by securing commitments from dozens of hotels and leisure facilities to implement the Rabbinical Committee's modesty regulations. These hotels received Committee approval and are able to display a certificate.
