Mass Bittul Torah in an Unannounced Inspection of Mir Yeshiva in Jerusalem

Thousands of Mir Yeshiva talmidim and avreichim had to leave their learning on Wednesday during the first seder as a sudden inspection was conducted by the Ministry of Education. The inspectors were not fully prepared for the large amount of talmidim involved and they were not able to finish the inspection that day.

Hershey Friedman Acquires Azorim for NIS 300 Million

Chareidi businessman Hershey Friedman has acquired a controlling share (64 percent) in real estate and construction company Azorim for NIS 300 million (about $83 million). Friedman overcame Eliezer Fishman's Industrial Buildings Corporation (IBC) and Sari Arison's Housing and Construction Real Estate, which also vied for the acquisition.
