American Moetzes Gedolei Torah Issues a Statement

To our fellow Jews everywhere:
Even amid the terrible anguish and pain we are all feeling,
the special, sublime nature of the Jewish people shines
forth. As Moshe Rabbeinu, with his loving eye, declared:
"Even as You show love to nations, all its holy ones are in
Your hands" -- on which Rashi comments that even at times of
Jewish anguish, "all their righteous and worthy cling to You
and do not withdraw from You, and You watch over them."
Our entire strength derives only from our acceptance of
Hashem Yisborach's Sovereignty; from it come all our
blessings.
Nation of Hashem! Be strong and strengthened further, in
Eretz Yisroel and the Golah, as we prepare to crown
HaKodosh Boruch Hu. With the blasts of the shofar we
will stand before Him, with our prayers and entreaties, with
our stock-taking of our lives and actions -- and with hope
and trust in the Source of our strength, that He provide us a
new year of goodness and blessing -- a year that will leave
the tragedies of the past behind and in which the glory of
Hashem will fill the entire earth.
