"Divrei Asaf"
by Yated Ne'eman Staff

The memory of Rabbi A. S. Feuerstein, zt"l, is still vivid in the minds of thousands of pupils whom he taught and guided at the Yesodei Hatorah schools in London for over forty years. As headmaster and rebbe, he had personal contact with each and every pupil. Each youngster felt his concern and warmth and had the feeling that he had a special place for him in his heart.

Pearls of divrei Torah were forever streaming forth from him and he left behind a vast amount of written chiddushim, which are in the progress of being published. The sefer Divrei Asaf (the acronym of his name) includes chiddushim on inyonei Shabbos and Yomim Tovim, written clearly with headings, comprehensible for young and old, as well as his notes on the Mishna Berurah which include mareh mekomos and psakim from previous London Rabbonim.

The sefer also includes a biography of the author, describing his ahavas Torah as well as his great involvement in chinuch and kiruv rechokim in London, acting as one of the spiritual pioneers of the town and later on continuing his great deeds and actions in Eretz Yisroel.

In this sefer we have, for the first time, an authentic description and account of the planting of the seeds of Orthodox Jewish education in London, and of the labor and toil of its fnunders.

Whoever acquires the sefer will be sure to derive spiritual pleasure and enjoyment from learning his divrei Torah and chiddushim.
