Talking About Maran HaRav Shach ztvk"l

Virtually the entire chareidi world is now learning, for the first time ever, what it is like to live in a world without Maran HaRav Shach, zt"l. For over ninety years he was part of the yeshiva world, and for most of them he was at or near its summit.

Steadfast Faith Vs. Temptation

The following is based on the address of HaRav Shach, zt"l, given at the opening session of the Ponovezh Yarchei Kallah in 5752 (1992). In those days HaRav Shach often used this opportunity to give a public speech to address various current issues. However, he never strayed far from the basic issues that were near and dear to him. This report includes the remarks he made that year on basic issues that are always relevant and important, including some allusions to the political situation then. It was several months after the election of the Rabin government, and HaRav Shach explained why he was against joining that government.

Migdal Bovel and the Twin Towers
