A chanukas habayis in honor of Yated Ne'eman's
spacious new offices for the Hebrew edition was held two
weeks ago. Taking part in the ceremony were members of the
Yated Ne'eman Vaada Ruchanis as well as the committee
secretaries, members of the board of directors and the
newspaper staff. The new headquarters is located on 108
Jabotinsky Street in Bnei Brak.
Members of the Vaada Ruchanis delivered words of greeting,
expressing their esteem for all those who share the daily
burden of publishing the Hebrew paper which is read by Jews
the world over, among them eminent talmidei
chachomim. The following rabbonim spoke: HaRav Chaim
Shaul Karelitz, the ga'avad of Shearis Yisroel; HaRav
Shmuel Boruch Deutsch, HaRav Nosson Zochovski and HaRav Tzvi
Friedman.
The rabbonim stressed the uniqueness of Yated
Ne'eman, a newspaper that was founded by the Kehillos
Yaakov, HaRav Yaakov Yisroel Kanievsky, zt"l and
ylct"a Maran HaGaon HaRav Eliezer Menachem Shach,
shlita. They added that since its founding, Yated
Ne'eman has become the prime newspaper of the bnei
Torah community, loyally fulfilling the mission of
maranan verabonon by its dauntless presentation of
pure hashkofo and absolute obedience to da'as
Torah.
In their words of greeting, members of the Vaada thanked
newspaper director, Rabbi Yaakov Labin, for his tremendous
efforts to transfer the newspaper to its new quarters, as
well as for the many improvements he has made in the
newspaper over the years. They praised the staff of editors
and writers who bring the news to tens of thousand of
readers of a paper al taharas hakodesh.
They also thanked the members of the board of directors,
who, at the behest of maranan verabonon zt"l and
ylt"a have borne the burden of founding the newspaper
and have accompanied it over the years through thick and
thin, enabling it to reach its current status as the leading
newspaper in the chareidi community.
The members of the Vaad HaRabbonim said that we should
continue to strengthen the newspaper and to increase its
circulation so that it reaches everywhere. The urgency of
bringing da'as Torah and pure Torah outlook into
every Jewish home is especially important in light of the
recent call of gedolei Yisroel to the Torah community
to avoid newspapers not under supervision of gedolei
Yisroel.
The chanukas habayis of Yated Ne'eman in its
new quarters demonstrates the newspaper's impressive success
and will accord much impetus to its future development and
growth. The sense of involvement in a sacred mission which
accompanies the editors, writers and staff of the paper has
brought it to the eminent status it currently occupies in
Jewish centers throughout the world.
