Warning: Heretics Call Yeshivas to Persuade Students to Join Them

by A. Cohen

Heretics, anonymous nudniks, have recently been calling yeshiva public telephones or telephone booths near yeshivas to try to persuade yeshiva students to leave the yeshivos kedoshos and to join heretical organizations.

These people also sit in parked cars near telephone booths throughout Bnei Brak. They call those phones and when a yeshiva student picks up the phone, they draw him into a conversation by telling him precise details about his appearance and location.

A number of educators have turned to Yated Ne'eman, asking the paper to warn the public about this dangerous trend. Sometimes, the yeshiva students continue to speak with the callers "just for fun," but are slowly persuaded to meet the porkei ol who are trying to lead yeshiva students astray.
