The State of Israel is not starving the Gaza population. It never did. Perhaps there is hunger, but not because of a lack of food, rather it is due to a deliberate political diplomacy of the Hamas organization which has gone on a campaign of starvation and succeeded in felling a shattering downfall to the Zionist rule.
The fact that the world media has fallen into the Hamas trap is nothing new. The world press serves this organization well and crumples its enemy without battle which it wages day and night. This begins with the number of uncertified fatalities which spirals astronomically without any relationship to IDF activity there, together with the data of children killed reported from a most 'reliable source' - the Gaza Ministry of Health, which is none other than a 'laundered' name for the Hamas propaganda machine. Nor has anyone examined how much food enters Gaza and who, exactly, is starving the Gaza population.
But how did the Israeli newspapers who are expected to at least report the truth to its readership here, transform themselves into the propaganda clarions of this terrorist organization?! Why have they joined the Hamas campaign without placing at least a shadow of doubt on the disinformation?
The very photos show those 'emaciated' children next to fattened parents who like they are after a full meal. Their reports similarly show all kinds of civilians dominating social networks within Gaza reporting a terrible crisis of hunger, while they, themselves, are the very picture of full-blown health.
This does not end with such lies. One day, those selfsame newspapers report a rampant hunger in Gaza and next day, when the government decides to stream quantities of food to the Strip, they report with full headlines on the 'folding up of Israel'. On the one hand, they attack the government as being guilty of the hunger in Gaza and on the other hand, they complain about the faltering Israeli publicity and almost simultaneously, they join the deceptive Hamas campaign extant in the world press.
We are referring to leading Israeli newspapers, including the broadcasting corporation which Israeli citizens subsidize from their own money. There they report on a blocking of assistance and food by Israel, knowing full well that it is Hamas which seizes control over the supply trucks and stores huge quantities of food in their warehouses. This is the very body which causes food prices to skyrocket, preventing citizens without means or connections from obtaining minimal food at normal prices.
It is incredible how Israeli newspapers become the very partners and allies of Hamas, all out of a bottomless hatred of the Netanyahu government. In the name of that selfsame hatred, they are prepared to endanger the lives of fellow Jews throughout the world by spreading the open lies of the murderous Gaza organization.
After all of this, we ask: how can such people so cultured and so ethical, join the campaign for army service for Torah students? Why should they opt to join a so unethical army which executes war crimes, starves an entire population and primarily, rejects all tenets of Judaism, as you have written?
Why is your voice not heard in full decibels against adding more soldiers, from the chareidi sector, to be sure, to an army which practices non-ethical crimes? You, who purport to be so cultural, champions of human rights, so full of concern for the starving Gaza population, should be the first ones to ardently support the chareidi sector which refuses to serve in a body so anti-ethical as you see it.
It seems that the many of you who demand 'a share of the burden' by forced enlistment of Torah students fail to realize the absurdity in this and or to see the very lies which you circulate. If this be the face of moralities and ethos in Israel, then the falsity of your empty 'wagon' has never fully been exposed.
