This is the character of an extremist Leftist publication Ha'aretz daily newspaper, which in the past referred to itself as "the paper for thinking people," and changed to being the representative of terrorist organizations in the Israeli media. Not only flouting in the orders of the Israeli censorship which publications are liable to endanger lives, but going as far as denigrating the State of Israel before the entire world.
The paper's present editor in chief called the subhuman Hamas terrorist organization as 'freedom fighters,' while some of its correspondents expressed support of the sanctions against Israel and its high ranking leaders, and spoke about genocide and other such terms which are used by the major anti-Semites in the world.
Jew-haters everywhere, including the Hamas terrorist organization, quoted excerpts from the so-called 'Zionist' Jewish newspaper to prove the justice in their battle in the war being fought by the Israeli army against the Nazis of Gaza.
The unanimous decision arrived at by the government to stop all government ads in the paper was imperative. It is inconceivable that the Israeli citizen fund from its own money a paper, some of whose journalists identify with the worst of the country's enemies. If such a paper seeks financial backing, let it turn to the Hague Court of 'Justice' to finance its notices or to world academies who support the Gaza murderers that they be so kind as pay for such advertisements. It makes no sense that public funds be relegated to a press whose articles fan hatred of Israel throughout the world and which are liable to endanger Jewish lives. How simple! How elementary!
The newspaper Ha'aretz presented a petition to the High Court against the government's decision, knowing full well that the judges would reject the government's move. Up to now, this paper has categorically opposed any change in the status of the High Court and any reform that would harm as much as a hair of the dictatorial supremacy of this institute.
One of its chief columnists, a venerated lecturer in the Hebrew University, was removed from his position after he brazenly dared to support the judicial reform. Free speech a la Ha'aretz. Thus, it is only natural to assume that the High Court judges will know to acknowledge thanks to a paper which enthusiastically supports the continuance of its dictatorial rule and veto the government's decision.
Along comes the attorney general, who almost instinctively comes out against any government decision, Ms. Miara, voicing her judicial opinion that the government decision determining that it must halt all connection with Ha'aretz was irregular, and counter to the administrative rules which defy a process which cannot stand up to judicial procedure.
This time at least, we can even begin to understand her, for why must she go as far as the Court and represent the government when the loss is a foregone conclusion? And thus, the government finds itself against a monopolistic body, not voted in, which maintains that the government decision - and any government decision - does not obligate anything. And it can oppose it without a blink.
Together with the attorney general who does not even pretend to veil her political opposition to the present government, Ha'aretz can rest assured. The great losses due to the government ban will shortly cease when the Israeli citizen refuses to continues to pay for support of the 'freedom fighters' of Gaza. the agenda of the Hague Court against Israeli genocide and the need to bring to justice the heads of the Israeli government.
