Rav Efrati
HaRav Yosef Efrati is well known as the faithful of shamash of HaRav Yosef Sholom Eliashiv. He recounted the following incident.
In 5746 (1986) there was a serious publish Shabbos issue in Petach Tikva that lasted for a long time. There was a special kinus, and HaRav Eliashiv agreed to participate in honor of HaRav Boruch Shimon Salomon, the rav of Petach Tikva.
As we left, HaRav Eliashiv said to me that he had been in Petach Tikva once before. I asked him when that was. He answered that it was when he went to see "Chaim" who had been proposed as a shidduch for his daughter Bat Sheva. That was in Iyar 5711 (1951). After he met the proposed, he went to Bnei Brak to the Chazon Ish.
I asked, "And what happened there?"
Maran told me, "He said that he (R' Chaim) will be the Rogatchover of the generation."
And Maran explained that the Chazon Ish was talking already then, when he was still a bochur!
