High gear deployment is evident in Vilna, Belarus, and in Vilna, Lithuania, in anticipation of the mass prayers planned for Thursday evening, the 19th of Shvat, the eve of Parshas Yisro, to be headed by Torah leadership. These will take place at the gravesite of the Chofetz Chaim, who is buried in Radin. Its climax will be the deposit of the work "Sefer Hagibborim" with the names of the tens of thousands of Jews who have committed themselves to the regular study of Halochoh, and simultaneously, on the gravesite of the Vilna Gaon in Vilna.

The delegation from Israel will depart late Thursday morning and land in Vilna that afternoon. From there they will continue by bus to Radin in order to arrive by evening. Indeed, the very mention of that village evokes deep emotions by every Jew, all the more so by those who will stand by the holy tomb of the beacon of all Jewry, the Chofetz Chaim, and declare, "Rabbeinu! We are studying your Torah teachings!"

The event in Radin will include recital of Tehillim, 13 Middos and chizuk messages from Torah leaders, to be climaxed by the laying of the Sefer Hagibborim containing the names of myriads of Jews throughout the whole world who asked to be recorded in the book after having resolved to study the regimen of the Halacha Daf HaYomi day by day.

Concurrent to the arrival of the Israel contingent in Radin, a delegation of European rabbonim will visit the tomb of the "Bircas Shmuel", where they will listen to chizuk messages, on to the cemetery containing the grave of HaRav Chaim Ozer Grodzensky, and HaRav Itzele Ponovezher. At late evening, at the same time of the event taking place in Radin, they will gather together for a memorable session at the gravesite of HaGaon of Vilna, after which they will recite Tehillim and say the 13 Middos.

The registration for the Sefer Hagibborim continues on. It does not entail payment and is available to everyone who will resolve to study without interruption the daily Daf Hayomi b'Halocha, anticipation the third cycle which will begin on the 19th of Adar. The registration can be carried out through Nedorim Plus or via email: dirshu@dirshuglobal.org.
