The members of the Moetzes Gedolei veHachmei HaTorah here and in the U.S., as well as the revered roshei yeshiva here and abroad, joined in the letter of HaRav Gershon Eidelstein who agreed to assume the presidency of the new Torah city in Mexico and direct its establishment and Torah lifestyle. Community rabbonim and kollel heads also affixed their signatures to an additional letter of the Rosh Yeshiva with blessings for this upcoming city of Torah which will provide a solution to the local public's crying distress of lack of proper housing within the conditions of a Torah city.

In his rare letter upon which the aforementioned members of the Moetzes Gedolei and Chachmei HaTorah here and in America, as well as roshei yeshiva, were signed, he wrote:

"I hereby bless and encourage the welcome initiative of establishing a Torah city in Mexico, complete with Torah institutions and all other institutions necessary for Bnei Torah, including yeshivos and kollelim, educational institutions for boys and Bais Yaakov schools for girls all included within this city. As Chazal stated (Avos 6:9), 'I will not live [anywhere] except in a place of Torah'. This buttresses the continued existence of a proper life of Torah and mitzvos. May it be His will that this enterprise of establishing a place of Torah based on pure sanctity duly succeed so that this become a great city of scholars and scribes, and may all of its residents merit a life of Torah and mitzvos according to their pure aspiration."

The letter continues, "Surely the great merit thereof shall assist this important enterprise through the hands of those involved in it who constantly seek advice and counsel through their questions, and invest great effort so that everyone be able to live there in a suitable manner at minimal cost. May all those involved be blessed with all the numerous blessings promised [to such a project."
