Rain and Kinneret Watch

Our weekly report of the rain and the level of the Kineret - 5778.

As of March 8 (21 Adar) 326 millimeters of rain had fallen in the Jerusalem area during the current season (August 1 to date). This represents 72% of the average rainfall for this period and 61% of the average rainfall for the entire season in the Jerusalem area which is 537 mm.

This week there was no rain. The weather is very pleasant, but there is no rain.

The current level of the Kinneret is -213.505 meters below sea level, which is below the lower red line of -213 meters. It went up about 2 inches in the last week. This is much slower than it needs to go up.
