Keren Kayemet Demands Work on Shabbos

By Yosef Tikochinsky

Keren Kayemet (KKL) has been in the news lately, as there are proposals to obligate it to pay regular taxes to the State of Israel. The issue has caused a lot of controversy.

This week Yated Ne'eman discovered that this body published a tender for outside services that required bidders to violate Shabbos and Yom Tov R"l.

The Fund recently advertised an official tender for services of and external group guidance company throughout the country on its website. The tender is mainly directed at bodies employing certified tour guides. Among the requisites is a clause stating that the designated awardee must obligate itself to bring tour guides who will lead groups and tours on Shabbos and Festivals.
