Rain and Kinneret Watch

Our weekly report of the rain and the level of the Kineret.

As of February 11 (2 Adar I) 398 millimeters of rain had fallen in the Jerusalem area during the current season (August 1 to date). This represents 113% of the average rainfall for this period and 74% of the average rainfall for the entire season in the Jerusalem area which is 537 mm.

The Kinneret basin and the north of Israel generally have less-than-average rainfall for this period.

The current level of the Kinneret is -212.73 meters below sea level, which is just above the lower red line of -213 meters. There was a slight rise of 0.8 centimeters from last week.
