Dirshu Delegation to the Grave of the Chofetz Chaim

by Yated Ne'eman Staff

In anticipation of the yahrtzeit of the Chofetz Chaim, the Dirshu organization has launched a new project of fervent prayer at the gravesite in Radin, in the name of the tens of thousands of children, both from chadorim and girls' schools, that they, too, take up the study of the teachings of the Chofetz Chaim on that very day, coupled with the recital of Tehillim for the deliverance of our people as a whole, and for the succor of individual Jews in particular.

A rabbinical delegation from Dirshu will embark to reach Radin on the day of the yahrtzeit in Belarus, in the name of the tens of thousands who study and incorporate the teachings of the curriculum of the Daily Daf in Halacha and the respective day of study in the Mishnah Berurah. This will take place on that day, when they will also cry out from the chambers of their heart at this holy gravesite of the Chofetz Chaim, author of the Mishnah Berurah, in the name of the tens of thousands to demonstrate that "Rebbi, we are studying your Torah teachings." The study will be supplemented by prayer requests for salvation and spiritual consolation for all those who have joined this study regimen, past and future.

In anticipation of this campaign, which took place last year as well, someone close to the Rosh Yeshiva Maran HaRav Shteinman, went to consult with him and ask if he should join the Dirshu delegation and travel to the graveside in Radin. His reply was clear cut: "You must surely seize this opportunity and join." He did not suffice with this but added a personal request: "Please pray for me, too, at the gravesite that I merit being of aid to the masses." He also noted that this particular request "is a very good one."
