The Sixth Chinuch Conference in Eretz Yisroel Discusses the Independence of Chareidi Chinuch

The Sixth Annual Chinuch Conference in Eretz Yisroel encompassed three days of fruitful learning and discussion at the Nir Etzion Hotel near Jerusalem. Bringing together educators from all over Eretz Yisroel, the participants heard from gedolei and rabbonei Yisroel.

Remove a Stumbling Block from the Path of My People

We are concerned about our brethren Bnei Yisroel, to come together with a common idea, to preserve the valuable from the degraded, and to prevent good people of Israel from falling to spiritual depths Rachmono litzlan.

Upsurge of Activity to Strengthen Shmittah Farmers

An atmosphere of excited, emotional anticipation pervaded the massive assembly gathered to discuss the issue of the upcoming shmittah year, which was headed by numerous gedolei Yisroel to bolster the spirit of those farmers who are committed to keeping the shmittah year in all its halachic stringencies. Activity is in full swing by the two organizations, Ayelet Hashachar and Keren Hashviis among those who toil in the fields, literally, and avreichim, to help them in learning the pertinent halachos in order to implement them, as well as to persuade others to keep the shmittah accordingly.

Agudas Yisroel's 14th Yarchei Kallah in Yerushalayim: A Live Report

This week they're not physicians, attorneys, accountants or businessmen. Sounds like a dream? Well, it's a reality for a few hundred committed bnei Torah, mostly from America and Canada, with some from Mexico, Europe and Eretz Yisrael, who've come together at the Ramada Hotel in Yerushalayim to turn its central ballroom into a beis medrash lechol davar.

The Kotzker Rebbe Ha'Admor Rabbi Menachem Mendel Morgenstern, zt"l
In Honor of His Yahrtzeit, 22 Shevat (5619)

The clock struck one and the melamed closed his Chumash with a satisfied smile, as did the little boys surrounding him. Soon the fields surrounding the small shtetl were filled with the playful shouts and laughter of the cheder boys.

HaRav Moshe Schwab -- His 25th Yahrtzeit

by Mrs. G. Levenberg

"R' Moshe." The very name conjures up a smile. The Rebbe who molded so many, whose warmth and vitality endeared him to all; Master of the human psyche, father to the orphaned both in flesh and spirit, beloved by pupils and peers alike; An educator in every sense of the word. Who was this great man?
