Decisions of the Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah

The Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah is upset and fearful and expresses its deep pain at the ugly wave of incitement instigated by a handful of people that floods the residents of Eretz Yisroel directed against the chareidim ledvar Hashem, and in particular against those who study the holy Torah in whose merit the world exists. We mean the dear bnei yeshivos who study Torah day and night, and grow in yiras Shomayim in an atmosphere of kedushoh and taharoh. People come to undermine their standing through various efforts to interfere with their growth in Torah and yiras Shomayim.

The Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah expresses its support for our elected representatives who work faithfully under the direction of the Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah against all those who try to harm holy matters in general and those who study Torah in particular.

The Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah asks the government leaders not to change in any way the policy towards those who study Torah, and that talmidei yeshivas not be drafted to the army, and also in all matters that relate to the Jewish lifestyle as practiced here in Eretz Yisroel.

To all our brethren bnei Yisroel we turn with a heartfelt plea: Please brothers, do no evil. The continued existence of the Jewish people throughout the generations is through learning Torah and fulfilling the mitzvas in purity. It is only through this that the true character of Am Yisroel was preserved and in a time like now we must add from kodesh onto the chol.

The Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah expresses its satisfaction at the success of chareidi Jewry, with Heaven's help, it joining together in unity in order to strengthen the religion, and expresses its admiration for the work of the askonim of Torah Jewry, as well as the broader community who answered the holy call lehagdil Torah uleha'adirah.

The eyes of all Yisroel are raised in prayer to the Creator of the World to come speedily to redeem us, and in the hope that a new light will shine over Zion and Hashem will be the King of all the Land.
