IDF Hires PR Firm to Persuade Chareidim to Enlist

by Yated Ne'eman Staff

IDF officials have decided to blatantly promote "military service for chareidim," and even took the unprecedented step of hiring a chareidi public relations consultant to market the idea to the chareidi public.

"For the first time ever the IDF is being assisted by a public relations and strategic consulting firm from the chareidi sector, to market chareidi enlistment," reads a press statement released this week. The IDF hired PR people from the chareidi sector as part of a bid "to persuade the sector they belong to regarding the advantages of being recruited into military ranks. It was explained that the goals the IDF set for the PR consultants included targeting the campaign to encourage chareidim to enlist in the military and to provide information on frameworks designed to integrate them."
