The Bnei Torah Public Will be Included in Offers for Trade-in of Old Electrical Appliances

By Yechiel Sever

Avreichim will, in the future, be included in the tenders publicized by the Ministry of Energy, offering a trade-in deal of energy-guzzling old electrical appliances for new, more economical models. This was promised by the director of the Ministry of Water and Energy, Shaul Tzemach, in a letter to the chairman of the Knesset Financial Committee, Rabbi Gafni, who challenged the heads of the Ministry with the discrimination of the chareidi public in this proposal. Initially, eligible for this offer were only those who received low income subsidies from the National Insurance Bureau (Bituach Leumi) and not those who receive similar subsidies from the Ministry of Education, such as avreichim.
