Dozens of delegations have begun landing this Wednesday for a week stay highlighted by the Grand Siyum Hashas to be held on Tuesday, the 12th of Av. They will be taken to visit the various gedolei Torah and hear shiurim from them. The climax of their stay will, of course, be the Dirshu Siyum, where tens of thousands are expected to attend the first stage of the Kinyan Halacha program on the first three sections of Mishne Berurah.
Flights from the U.S., Canada, England, Belgium, France, Holland and other countries will bring throngs of friends, participants and members of the major Dirshu complex who have come especially for the historic event. Prominent among the participants will be those `chassanim' who have been part of the various Dirshu year-long programs and, of course, those who have completed the entire Shas and those who have delivered the Daf Yomi in the various locations.
The first to arrive was the American delegation, whose members were also first to commence the rounds of visits in the homes of gedolei Torah.
The major Dirshu Siyum HaShas will take place on Monday in Yad Eliyahu, while Binyanei Haooma in Jerusalem will be the location of the Dirshu event for English speakers. Wednesday evening will host all the members of the Dirshu movement in Israel and abroad.
