HaRav Chaim Breish Zt"l

By Y. Gefen

On Monday, 14th of Sivan, 5777, the disturbing news from Stamford Hill, London, of the tragic passing of HaRav Chaim Breish, Rosh Yeshivas Mesivta d'London reached the Torah world.

HaRav Chaim went with his colleague, HaRav Yitzchok Beigel, for a brief visit to the seashore for health reasons when suddenly he must have lost his balance, and was sucked into the sea by powerful waves. HaRav Beigel tried his best to save him and was, himself, injured in the process, requiring medical care, but was unable to rescue his colleague, who drowned.

HaRav Breish left behind him a shocked, pained and bereaved family and likewise, many scores of talmidim who were like his own sons.
