Preparations are in full swing to accommodate the many thousands expected to partake in the central event celebrating the World Siyum HaShas' of the twelfth cycle of the Daf Hayomi of the Talmud Bavli. It will take place in the huge convention center, Moshava, in Petach Tikva on the 11th of Av, 5772.
The planning committee, composed of representatives of chareidi Jewry, from Degel HaTorah and Agudath Israel, convened in the meeting hall of Beit Agudath Israel in Bnei Brak, to discuss and organize the upcoming event.
The occasion of the culmination of the worldwide Daf Yomi cycle is a momentous and historic day, commemorating seven and a half years of daily study which has been embraced throughout the Jewish world as a day of Simchas Torah. In Eretz Yisroel and throughout the world, stadiums are filled with thousands and tens of thousands of joyful participants.
