by A. Cohen

Last Friday, during the Nine Days, gedolei Yisroel shlita on the presidential board of Mifal HaShas HaOlami held their annual meeting. Seminary Placements will Not by Conducted by Municipal Committees
by Yated Ne'eman Staff

The Education Ministry's demand - which goes against the firmly held position of gedolei Yisroel shlita - to set up seminary placement committees run by municipalities and overseen by the Education Ministry suddenly became superfluous when principals took over and completed the task of arranging the placement.

by HaRav Yitzchok Silberstein with Rabbi Tzvi Yabrov

There are many areas of life where waiting in line is unavoidable. When there are a number of applicants for treatment, for services or for assistance, they are usually attended to on a first-come-first-served basis. This article deals with whether and under what circumstances, it may be justified to put a later arrival ahead of others in line. In the course of the discussion, the halachic basis for the whole idea of waiting in line is examined.

by HaRav Chaim Shaul Karelitz, zt'l

At this time, it is again incumbent upon us to clarify the reasons for the bankruptcy of the Zionist ideal, both to ourselves and to the younger generation who are ignorant on the subject. We need to appreciate that the roots of the problem are neither the sins nor the sinfulness, neither the heresies nor the forced apostasies, which the Zionist camp perpetrates and propounds -- shameful and to their eternal discredit though such conduct certainly is.
