Education Conference Planners Receive Guidance from HaRav Eliashiv

In preparation for the Education Conference scheduled to take place 23-25 Cheshvan at Nir Etzion, the rabbonim on the steering committee met with Maran HaRav Eliashiv this week to seek his guidance and blessings. Conference participants will include roshei yeshivos, mashgichim, ramim, principals and educational supervisors from all parts of Eretz Yisroel, led by maranan verabonon gedolei Yisroel shlita.
HaRav Eliashiv said he was pleased to hear about the gathering and discussed the importance of bringing together educators to elucidate various issues currently on the education agenda. Citing Chazal's dictum that bringing together Torah scholars is "no'eh lohem veno'eh le'olom," Maran told the delegation members that since "every educator has a certain area in which he has a firm understanding, sitting down together [to discuss matters] adds a tremendous boost to the education of the next generation."
