Annual Conference for Jerusalem Principals Held in Kinar

By Betzalel Kahn

Dozens of principals met for an annual conference held by the Jerusalem Municipality's Department for Chareidi Education at the Kinar Resort Hotel near Tiberius this week.

In recent years the three-day conference has turned into a gathering that fosters unity and close cooperation between educational institutions and local authorities. The conference addressed various issues currently on the agenda of talmud Torah and school principals.

Jerusalem Deputy Mayor Rabbi Uri Maklev, who is in charge of chareidi education, said the Jerusalem Municipality sees the conference as an important tool for streamlining the joint work of the city's educational institutions, which contributes to harmony and an understanding of needs between the local authorities and the heads of the institutions engaged in their sacred task. He said the conference has an impact on education systems and local authorities around the country.
