Members of Dutch Right-Wing Party Resign Over Antisemitic Article

By R. Hoffner

Several prominent members of an extreme right nationalist faction in Holland called the New Right Party resigned in protest over the publication of an antisemitic article by one of the party leaders. They say the article, which claims "the Jews have too much influence in Holland," represents an instance of blatant, old-fashioned antisemitism. Commentators note the extreme right's agenda in Holland is based on opposition to constant, large-scale immigration of Muslims, and as such common interests are even developing between Western Europe's right-wing parties and Jewish communities.
