Gemach Merkazi Continues to Assist in Finding Housing Solutions by Providing Large Loans

By Betzalel Kahn

The Gemach Merkazi, founded by gedolei Yisroel, is granting interest-free loans of $20,000 to buyers in selected Modi'in Illit construction projects, including Nofei Illit- Kiryat Sefer and Achuzat Brachfeld.

Gemach Merkazi spokesmen say that following the success of previous campaigns and as part of efforts to provide housing solutions, based on consultation with Vaadas Harabbonim, a decision was made in cooperation with Tzifcha International builders of Achuzat Brachfeld, and Kiryat Sefer Ltd. builders of Nofei Illit, to issue loans to assist parents and young couples purchase apartments. The loans are paid back in 100 equal dollar payments.

A limited number of loans are available based on the deposits in the gemach. These deposits are made by individuals eager to do acts of chessed by placing their money in a safe fund, thereby making it available for chessed purposes such as housing loans and other welcome initiatives carried out by the Gemach Merkazi.

"The more we receive deposits in varying amounts the more we are able to provide additional loans," says Gemach Merkazi Director Rabbi Moshe Montag. "Our call goes out to nedivei om and shlomei emunim to deposit their money in the Gemach Merkazi and double their gains — both chessed and peace of mind.
