Pesachia Awarded Os Hachessed

by Betzalel Kahn

The Willy Trump Os Hachessed Prize Committee, headed by HaRav Yitzchok Goldknopf, awarded the Os Hachessed to Pesachia at a moving ceremony held at Beit Izzy Shapira in Raanana.

The prize committee for the 2005 award, comprised of representatives from government ministries, Beit Izzy Shapira and the Trump Family, noted, "This year the Prize Committee decided to award the certificate of recognition to the Pesachia chain of institutions for its welcome activity in promoting the quality of life of children in the chareidi sector with developmental disabilities, as well as their families. Through a combination of vision and action woven together in all of its ways, Pesachia is a wonder of leadership, dedication and professionalism on a very high level."

Rabbi Chaim Frankel was given the honor of enumerating the judges' reasons for selecting Pesachia, and speeches were given by the signatories of the certificate and Raanana Mayor Nachum Chofri.

Addressing the dozens of participants on hand Rabbi Goldknopf said Pesachia has worked hard for its recognition and to reach the top ranks of rehabilitative day-care centers in Israel. He also expressed thanks to the members of the prize committee for choosing Pesachia and to friends of the organization, Rabbi Binyomin Cohen and Rabbi Boruch Helfgott, heads of the Department for Chareidi Education at the City of Jerusalem, Rabbi Avrohom Rosental, council head of Telzstone, Pesachia's workers, the members of the audience and his family members.
