Mesillah Opens New Branch in Beitar Illit to Help Families Achieve Financial Stability

Dozens of Beitar Illit activists, headed by the city's rabbonim and leaders and the heads of the Mesillah management, took part in a special gathering to mark to opening of a Mesillah branch in the city, in cooperation with Kupat Hatzedaka Haklalit of Beitar Illit.

The branch opening represents a breakthrough for the organization, which will be bringing in dozens of new representatives.

Mesillah provides guidance and assistance for families trying to achieve financial stability and families that have become financially entangled for a range of different reasons. The organization is run by public activists and anshei chessed who are well-known in the chareidi community. The organization has helped hundreds of families and businesses to achieve financial stability.

Following the expansion of the organization's activities, recently a central gathering was held in Jerusalem for representatives from around the country. Gedolei Yisroel were on hand and a letter of support signed by maranan verabonon including Maran HaRav Eliashiv and HaRav Shmuel Halevi Wosner, was read aloud. Speakers at the gathering described Mesillah's lofty activities and its goal of promoting prudent financial management.

At the branch opening in Beitar Illit veteran Mesillah representatives mentioned how the organization has had the merit of helping numerous local families. Participants included HaRav Meir Simchah Auerbach, HaRav Tzvi Braverman, HaRav Shlomo Itzkovitz, HaRav Yisroel Barzovsky, HaRav Avrohom Stern and HaRav Yaakov Sofer. Also Mesillah board members, Chairman HaRav Shmuel Margaliot, HaRav Azriel Pines, HaRav Yaakov Nussbaum, HaRav Refoel Margaliot. Also Mayor Rabbi Yitzchok Pindrus, who is also among the board members and founders of Kupat Hatzedaka Haklalit. Other Kupat Hatzedaka Haklalit board members were present as were HaGemach Merkazi board members and activists and prominent public representatives from every group in the city.

Around 11 Cheshvan the organization held a seminar to provide all of its representatives with professional tools for assisting families escape the cycle of relying on tzedokoh and gemachim. Following requests by numerous individuals and groups, Mesillah is also organizing a workshop open to the public.
