HaRav Sassilar Inaugurated as Head of Elad's Argentinean Kehilloh
By A. Cohen

HaRav M. Sassilar was made rov of the shul for Argentinean immigrants in Elad after the city recently took in numerous Argentinean kollel families among the thousands of kollel families that recently moved into the town.

In order to help Argentinean immigrants in Elad settle into their new home, a spacious beis knesses and beis medrash has been built on Rechov Rashi. The moro de'asra, HaRav Shlomo Zalman Grossman, appointed HaRav Sassilar to serve as the rov of the kehilloh and of the beis knesses.

Participants at the inauguration ceremony held during Chol Hamoed Sukkos included HaRav Grossman, HaRav Zeev Cohen, one of the roshei yeshiva of Yeshivas Maor HaTalmud in Rechovot, HaRav Yoel Friedman, rov of Elad neighborhoods Chazon Ish and Even Ha'ezel and a dayan and moreh tzedek at Badatz Elad, HaRav Dovid Yitzchok Grossbard, rosh kollel of Yeshivas HaRan of Elad, HaRav Yehuda Shurtz, rosh kollel and moreh tzedek at Badatz Elad, HaRav Moshe Fisch, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Doroma, HaRav Chaim Chervakovsky, a ram at Yeshivas Doroma, and HaRav Y. Borkas, of Yeshivas Beis Eliyahu.

Many public figures were also on hand, including City Council Head Rabbi Tzvi Cohen, the incumbent Deputy City Council Head Rabbi Tzvi Herbst, City Council Member Rabbi Shmuel Grossman, gabboim from various botei knesses in Elad and a large crowd of Argentinean avreichim who arrived from different parts of the country to take part in the event.

In additional to the daily tefillos the beis knesses boasts an evening iyun shiur that draws many talmidei chachomim. A kollel is also slated to open on the premises, im yirtzeh Hashem.
