Bezeqcard Service Renewed

Following a decision by Bezeq several weeks ago to
discontinue its Bezeqcard service MK Rabbi Moshe Gafni
contacted Communications Minister D. Itzik and Ministry
Director-General Avi Blashnikov to explain to them such a
move would strike a blow at the weak economic classes and
yeshiva students.
The Communications Minister, Bezeq's license provider,
informed CEO Amnon Dick she was rejecting the company's
request to discontinue the service and demanding that it be
renewed.
Bezeq stopped the Bezeqcard service unilaterally at the
beginning of last week but following intensive efforts
Minister Itzik and later even the company CEO notified MK
Rabbi Gafni the service would be renewed immediately.
