Hatzoloh Warns Public to Exercise Caution in Heat

By Betzalel Kahn

In light of unusually hot weather forecasts for the coming days in Eretz Yisroel, Hatzoloh Yisroel is reminding the public to adhere to heat-safety guidelines to avoid harm resulting from heat stroke, sunstroke, sunburn, and other heat- related dangers.

Hatzoloh notes the importance of drinking ample liquids, saying that just in the past few days volunteers have been summoned to treat dozens of people who fainted or felt ill due to heat and dehydration.

In all cases of emergency in Israel call Magen David Adom by dialing 101. Volunteer Hatzoloh medics are also alerted through that call and will arrive immediately, and an ambulance will also be dispatched to the scene of the emergency.
