INTRODUCING:
Not a Pesach Cookbook -- a Recipe File Box

reviewed by N.B.

I had heard rumors about our local Rebbetzin's great Pesach recipes and really wanted to sneak a peek at some of them. So I was thrilled when I found out that she had just published -- not a cookbook -- but a recipe file box with her famous recipes on laminated recipe cards. I love any idea that will help me come up with new and tasty Pesach meals, so I contacted the Rebbetzin to find out more.

Her recipe file box is called Shulchan Orech and the purpose of the `recipe file' concept was to simplify Pesach meal preparation process. The recipe cards are professionally designed and contain graphics that show you at a glance how much time is needed for each recipe, the cooking temperature and if it is gebrochts. The recipes are divided into 12 color-coded categories such as: Appetizers, Salads, Soups, Main Dishes etc. with matching dividers. Each divider has a list of contents. This makes it a breeze to find what you want and to return it when you are finished.

The attractive recipe box is also roomy enough for you to add your own favorite recipes. There are two separate editions: Hebrew and English, so it makes a great gift for any housewife.

I am already looking forward to trying it out. This is another excellent incentive to get back to my Pesach cleaning and get my kitchen kosher lePesach!
