Shin Bet Head: Most Attacks Foiled

Shin Bet head Avi Dichter reported to the Cabinet on Sunday that some 70 percent of all suicide attacks have been foiled since January 2003. Since January 2004 the success rate has reached 77 percent (be'eizer Hashem). In absolute terms, the security services foiled 84 suicide attacks since January, 2003, but 36 bombers succeeded in blowing themselves up.


Rabbonim Urge Public to Avoid Visiting Sites Open on Shabbos

One of the most senior US officials, National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice, said Sunday that the United States and its allies "cannot allow the Iranians to develop a nuclear weapon" and warned that President Bush would "look at all the tools that are available to him" to stop Iran's program.


Hundreds of Participants at Conference for Chareidi Entrepreneurs

An annual conference for chareidi businessmen and entrepreneurs was held in Jerusalem last week. Initiated by the Jerusalem Center for Fostering Enterprise, the conference was held on the theme, "Setting Up a Business as a Source of Livelihood" and was designed to provide knowledge and tools for businessmen and entrepreneurs from the chareidi sector as well as information on business assistance.

Recently, supposedly ancient letters or manuscripts by Torah and Chassidus gedolim of several generations ago have been offered for sale to people willing to pay enormous sums, though the items are outright counterfeits.

A slight noise was heard from the street below. The daylight, as well as the noise, filtered in through the broken pane of the small window. The public life of the Warsaw ghetto street seeped along with the noise and cold air into the small room upstairs. As the street life began its pulse, the privacy of Rebbetzin Brocho Raizel, wife of the deceased Admor of Kolovail, was forcibly invaded.
