British Friends of Ma'ayanei Hayeshua Sponsors Speaker

The British Friends of Ma'ayanei Hayeshua are delighted to welcome Dr. Helen Tager-Flusberg as the second speaker in its series on advances in medicine and their impact on our community.

Dr. Tager-Flusberg is a world authority on Autism, Williams Syndrome (a rare neurological development disorder) and on Specific Language Impairment. Her findings have been published in several of the world's leading scientific journals and she has lectured at many prestigious universities.

Professor of Anatomy and Neurobiology at Boston University Dr. Tager-Flusberg directs a laboratory overseeing research into language development in various neurological disorders. Recently, her research has been focused on the potential connections among genes and their effect on cognitive and behavioral impairment at various stages of human development.

Dr. Tager-Flusberg's talk will be entitled, "Autism Spectrum Disorders--New Insights Into Current Research."

British Friends of Ma'ayanei Hayeshua considers itself very privileged to have a speaker of the international eminence of Dr. Tager-Flusberg who is so generously prepared to give up her time during a very short visit to England to encourage its work.

The British Friends of Ma'ayanei Hayeshua is a small group of friends dedicated to assisting the Bnei Brak Hospital where, in addition to their most caring attitude to patients of all ages, the maternity unit delivers 600 Yiddishe kinderlach each and every month!
