Upcoming Conference on Bukharan Jewry

Signs of anticipation and excitement can be seen among
bnei Torah and avreichim in Eretz Yisroel and
abroad and among Jews from Bukhara and the former Soviet
Union as the founding convention for the World Torah
Leadership of Bukharan Jewry approaches.
At the founding convention, scheduled to be held Wednesday in
Bnei Brak under the direction of HaRav Aharon Leib Shteinman
and with many other gedolei Torah expected to join
bnei Torah, avreichim and yeshiva
bochurim, the supreme spiritual leadership will be
established for Bukharan Jews, directing their
hashkofoh and their chareidi and spiritual direction,
paving the proper path for them to follow and raising up the
banner of Torah.
The development promises to strengthen bnei Torah and
encourage avreichim from the Bukharan community who
dedicate their entire lives to the tents of Torah in the face
of all of the material temptation from the outside.
Furthermore it is expected to lead to the establishment of
funds and stipends to strengthen chareidi Torah frameworks,
work to add Torah shiurim and lectures among the
members of the community in Eretz Yisroel and abroad under
the guidance of gedolei Yisroel and sanctify the Name
of Heaven and increase and glorify Torah.
