Don't Smoke
Boruch Hashem since we first turned to the public in
Adar I 5760 a substantial reduction in the number of smokers
has been apparent among the chareidim ledvar Hashem.
Since the risk of smoking becomes more and more evident all
the time we hereby reiterate our previous statements to
smokers regarding the obligation to try every means possible
to quit, and certainly one may not smoke in public places.
And as for our dear youths who have not yet acquired this
dangerous habit, we hereby make clear our opinion that there
is no heter to start smoking.
May Hashem give all of us the merit to serve our Creator with
robust health.
