Materna Launches New Cholov Yisroel Premium Three-Stage Line
by N. Katzin

An important announcement for the chareidi sector in the area of infant nutrition: Materna, Israel's largest infant formula manufacturer, has announced the launch of its "Materna Premium" line of formula, now using cholov Yisroel and under the supervision of the Eida Chareidis.

Materna Premium products have been around for four years. They contain elements unique to Materna recommended by leading experts as being the closest to mothers' milk and necessary for healthy infant development. The system includes products suited to three stages of infant development, adapted to his changing needs, just as mothers' milk changes according to the needs of her infant.

Speaking at a press conference aimed at the chareidi community, Materna company directors noted that Materna is the leader in research in its field, and was also the first to develop formula using cholov Yisroel. They noted that with the launch four years ago of the Materna Premium line, the company immediately began to research how the products could be manufactured using cholov Yisroel and receive the Badatz hechsher.

Materna Premium Stage One (infants until the age of six months) includes the LC PUFA amino acid, vital for development of the brain and vision. Premium Stage Two (until one year) includes the CaPro formula that supplies the baby with protein and calcium for healthy growth of muscles and bones. Stage Three includes multivitamins, supplying the baby with necessary vitamins, minerals and other nutrients vital for his development and as a supplement to his daily diet.
