Mishnayos Be'al Peh Winners in Melbourne

by Yated Ne'eman Australian Correspondent

Gedalya Fetter is the new Melbourne Mishnayos Be'al Peh winner, with second place going to Moshe Wurtzburger. The competition, held by Kollel Beis Hatalmud, climaxed in a large festive siyum gathering to honor all those who learned mishnayos by heart, who are all real winners.

The siyum was held on the first day Selichos, and was honored with the presence of Rabbi Binyomin Wurtzburger and Rabbi Chaim Gutnick. Rabbi Gutnick noted in his message how pleasing it is to hear that boys spend their free time on motzei Shabbos at no other place than in the Beis Hamedrash.

Prizes were given to all who participated by the organizer of the competition and menahel of the Kollel, Rabbi Moshe Yudkowsky. The competition is geared to boys under bar mitzvah. Each motzei Shabbos at the Kollel, between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. one can find about 50 children learning and being tested on their mishnayos.
