OPINION & COMMENT
About six months ago a writer named Michael Lewis
published a book about Jim Clark, a man who can be
called the embodiment of the technological
revolution and the runaway financial success that
has come in the wake of public fascination with the
hi-tech wizardry and its promise for the future.
Light the Lamp of
Chazal (Bereishis Rabbah 60:16) revealed to us the three unique characteristics of Soroh Imeinu's tent: a lamp was lit in it constantly from erev Shabbos to erev Shabbos, a cloud hovered over the doorway, and there was always a blessing in the dough she kneaded. Those special features ceased when she passed away and only returned to the home when Rivka married Yitzchok.
I often enjoy your publication, but after a short time, I always find myself too discouraged to go on reading it, and I do not return for several months.
