Acheinu, the well known kiruv organization, is currently busy with an all-out campaign to locate families interested in drawing closer to Yiddishkeit. It has distributed tens of thousands of pamphlets among traditional families in order to identify those interested in increasing their religious commitment and in transferring their children to Torah schools.
One of these pamphlets, of which 30,000 copies were distributed, is a collection of prayers for mothers for the spiritual welfare of their children and families. Another pamphlet contains startling accounts about the trial awaiting people in beis din shel maalah (as attested to by people who have undergone clinical death).
These pamphlets are distributed in synagogues and other places. The target: families who display interest in Yiddishkeit. They also contain an appeal to parents to register their children in Torah schools, where they will be taught Jewish values and receive outstanding education.
In the wake of the distribution of the pamphlets, Acheinu has been inundated by requests for more information and counselling on the issue of Torah chinuch. Members of the organization are currently helping families to enroll their children in Torah institutions. Acheinu relates that those interested in distributing pamphlets should call its special center at 1-800-20-18-18.
